Through his life, John Blundall collected all manner of puppet and theatre related items. What started as items for his own interest and education gradually turned into a unique collection and education resource of worldwide importance. It consisted of some 7000 books, hundreds of original prints, engravings and Japanese woodblock prints, posters from puppet theatre companies from around the world, postcards, stamps, slides, Punch and Judy ephemera, puppets and masks. Sadly, after his death in 2014 the collection could not be kept together and was sold in 2018. It would not be possible to show all of the collection online but hopefully you will be able to get some idea of what it was like by browsing some of the categories below.
